Ringlock Scaffolding (Cobra) is considered the most modern, multi-functional, and capable scaffolding system today. Therefore, this is also a scaffolding system that construction contractors prefer for large-scale projects with high safety requirements. So what are the components of a Ringlock? Why is it so widely used? Join us to learn more about the information related to the Ringlock system in the article below.

Why is Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra) an excellent choice for construction solutions?

Characterized by a highly flexible installation angle and possessing many outstanding advantages, Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra) is becoming more and more popular in construction. Especially, it is used for both structures with complex facades and shapes. To better understand why it is so versatile, let’s overview Ringlock concepts, construction, and composition below.Ringlock Scaffolding Solution vivablast 3

1. What is Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra)? The most popular rosette scaffolding in the world today

Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra) is also known as disc scaffolding (rosette scaffolding) because it has the same structural characteristics as a disc. Thanks to outstanding features such as easy installation, high gravity resistance, increased safety, and certainty, Ringlock Scaffolding is one of the most popular scaffolding systems in the world. As a modular scaffolding system, it is very flexible. It can be erected in many configurations, making it the optimal solution for high-rise and large-scale construction projects requiring high safety and stability.

2. Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra): Basic components and standard specifications

The Ringlock system has a straightforward structure and consists of relatively few components. Ringlock scaffolding structure consists of main parts with standard parameters as follows:

  • Standard lengths are 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m, 3m, and 4m. Rosettes are welded to the tubes in increments of 0.50 m.
  • Diagonal Braces: Made from OD 48.3 mm scaffold tube. Available in all Ledger lengths and lift heights ranging from 1.0 m to 2.0 m.
  • Ledger is available in lengths of 0.39 m, 0.73 m, 1.04 m, 1.09 m, 1.40 m, 1.57 m, 2.07 m, 2.57 m, and 3.07 m.
  • Truss Ledgers are available in the following lengths: 1.82m, 2.13m, 2.43m, 3.05m, 4.26m, and 5.17m. Truss ledgers are horizontal components with higher load-bearing capacities.
  • Starter Base Collars are available in 240mm, 300mm, 320mm, and 430mm lengths.
  • Intermediate transoms are available in the following lengths: 1.15m, 1.57m, 2.13m, 3.05m, 0.73m, 1.09m, 1.40m, 1.57m, 2.07m, 2.57m, 3.07m.

Other parts include Side Bracket, U Ledger Transom, Steel Planks, Base Jacks, and Base Collars. Depending on the requirements, you can install different accessories and parts to form the desired structure.Ringlock Scaffolding (Cobra) is a direct plug scaffolding system with a self-locking function. It is also called Layher scaffolding (because LAYHER – a company from Germany, invented the theory of this scaffolding). Ringlock uses high-strength steel pipe with structural components presented as above.Ringlock Scaffolding Solution vivablast 2Ringlock can create up to eight connections, structurally flexible, at one level, and various angles. Besides, it can be assembled with steel plank, transfer bar to form a fully functional Ringlock truss system.Ringlock truss system (8-hole disc scaffolding) has many similarities with wedge scaffolding. The critical difference is that the connections are stable, the struts are securely bolted to make this scaffolding highly functional stable, excellent bearing capacity, no movement or vibration during work. All components are made of Q235 steel and Q345 steel.

3. What makes Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra) become a popular scaffolding system today?

Ringlock Scaffolding (Cobra) is now available worldwide and is considered a versatile alternative to other scaffolding frames on the market. The versatile Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra) system is used in general construction, offshore construction, and technology maintenance. Here are the advantages that make Ringlock the best choice in modern constructions:Commonly used materials are cold-dip or hot-dip galvanizing, and anti-corrosion technology is used to ensure the longevity and reliability of the components.Ringlock Scaffolding Solution vivablast 1

  • Ringlock has a super good bearing capacity, more prominent than other types of scaffolding.
  • The flexibility of the Ringlock system is high, which can be locked and adjusted to different angles. So it can meet the construction requirements of many other geometric structures.
  • In the center of the scaffolding is a single rosette connected to 4 racks and four horizontal lines with a simple hammer. Ringlock Scaffolding can be used for round, curved or straight structures and mobile and stand-alone towers. Even with very complex layouts and architecture styles. The system of discrete components has a simple design, so it is easy to assemble and use, store and maintain.
  • Wheels can be used to move scaffolding from one point to another quickly and easily.
  • The horizontal ledger is used to support the frame or as a handrail for the stair system and load-bearing parts, increasing the safety of the scaffolding system.
  • Ringlock structure reduces the middle strut to create a ventilated space, so moving on the truss during construction is easy.
  • The bars and the middle link structure create a stable scaffolding system between the frame and the body, ensuring high safety and no shaking when in use.

Modern large-scale constructions require a safer and more versatile scaffolding than the old system to best support overhead operations while ensuring worker safety. Ringlock scaffolding (Cobra) was invented with a simple structure but possessed many outstanding advantages that have proven its high applicability. You can be completely assured of cost, construction performance, and safety when using this scaffolding system. If you are looking for a better, safer, and rigorously tested building access solution provider, VIVABLAST’s Ringlock scaffolding system with international standards, reputation, and quality will be the best choice for you.
