Fuel gas piping for customers is heavily corroded. They need to inspect and repair the corrosion points
Working description
- Erecting of BS 1139 scaffolding reinforcement for supporting of gas pipelines (before dismantling of pipe supports)
- Removing of pipe supports to access to the corrosion points
- High pressure water cleaning 300-350 bar
- Slurry blast cleaning on the corrosion points to minimize the spark
- Carry out Ultrasonic Test to check the pipe thickness and make the report (location, thickness and compared with standard)
- Apply Belzona 1161 (Super UnderWater-Metal) to build up to the original thickness if thickness loss
- Using Belzona 1161 as bonding materials between wear pad and pipe, thickness in average 3-4mm and temporary fixed with strap for the duration of 14-16 hours
- Checked and spot coating for proper anti-corrosion.
