The GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) program is an industry-standard technical training developed by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO). This course ensures that individuals working on wind turbine projects, both onshore and offshore, are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required to maintain and install turbines effectively.

GWO BTT participants will gain practical experience through hands-on drills that reinforce theoretical concepts. Our instructors guide trainees through realistic scenarios, enabling them to apply their knowledge of turbine systems and equipment. This interactive approach ensures participants not only learn but also master essential skills for the industry in real-world environments.

The BTT course includes:

  • Mechanical Module: Covers the basic mechanical systems found in wind turbines, including bearings, shafts, and gears. Participants will learn maintenance techniques to ensure smooth turbine operation.
  • Electrical Module: Provides fundamental knowledge of electrical systems within wind turbines, including the safe handling of electrical tools and troubleshooting common electrical issues.
  • Hydraulic Module: Focuses on the hydraulic systems in wind turbines, covering both theory and practical maintenance procedures, ensuring participants can safely handle hydraulic circuits and components.
  • Bolt Tightening Module: Teaches correct bolt-tightening techniques to maintain turbine integrity. Participants will learn about torque and tensioning to ensure the safe and efficient installation of turbine components.
  • Installation Module: Provides training on the installation of turbine components, emphasizing proper procedures for assembly and ensuring that turbines are installed according to industry standards.
