Hands-on training for industry professionals

Throughout the course, participants will actively participate in hands-on exercises reinforcing the theoretical concepts. Instructors will guide each participant through practical scenarios related to lifting operations, including equipment inspection, load handling, and communication during lifting tasks.This interactive approach ensures that trainees learn and can effectively apply their skills in real-world situations within wind turbine environments.

The GWO CHBU course content includes:

Crane and Hoist Safety: Introduction to lifting operations, including potential hazards and safe working practices when using cranes and hoists in the wind energy industry.Regulations and Documentation: Understanding relevant legislation, standards, and manufacturer manuals related to lifting operations.Lifting Equipment and Accessories: Overview of cranes, hoists, and common lifting accessories such as slings, shackles, and hooks used in WTGs.Pre-use Inspection: Inspection procedures to ensure lifting equipment is safe and ready for operation before use.Basic Lifting Operations: Training on safe lifting techniques, load handling, and communication during lifting activities. The training includes theory first, followed by practice.Post-operation Procedures: Safe completion of lifting tasks and proper securing of equipment after use.
